Touchtech, a leading SaaS provider of fashion-tech in the retail industry, today announces a strategic acquisition of assets from its Danish competitor Zliide. This acquisition strengthens Touchtech's market position regarding digital sales support solutions that connect physical stores and e-commerce.
Through the acquisition, Touchtech gains access to Zliide's strategic assets such as its brand, patents, software, and customer relationships. Touchtech intends to offer Zliide's former customers – including brands like Moss Copenhagen, Perry Ellis, and Quint – the opportunity to migrate to Touchtech's established InStore endless-aisle solution. This provides these retailers with access to a platform designed to optimize sales and customer experience in the physical store.
Zliide has previously developed interesting technologies, including a patented self-checkout solution with smart security tags for clothing, which unlocks after payment via the customer's own mobile phone via Bluetooth. Through these smart tags, customers can also access product information on their phone. The purpose of this technology is to reduce queues and thereby free up sales associates from the checkout.
